Father Of 2 Dies In Reich; Pvt. Brown Dies In Explosion March 31, 1945 Patilli, Fairview Soldier, Slain In Action; Hackensack 's G.I.'s
Privates Anthony Pastilli of Fairview and Two other Bergen county soldiers are reported wounded today and a third, a member of the 106th division of the first army, is reported a Private Brown, a resident of Hackensack since he was 7, died February 27. He had served in England, France, Luxemburg, and then France again. He attended State Street School and a while a student at Hackensack High School, he worked part time at Loft's in Hackensack. Upon leaving school, he was employed for 3 months at Bendix in Teterboro. He entered service on May 7, 1943. Born in Paterson, he was baptized in the Varick Zion Methodist Church on Atlantic Street, Hackensack. He was a full member of the Junior choir there. |
